Magnetic Assemblies

Round Base | Channel | Sandwich
Because of their exceptional economy, high holding power and compact designs, assemblies are perfect for a number of applications. Some uses include: antenna mounts, work lamp bases, emergency light anchors, flag holders on vehicles, temporary license plate holders, tool or part racks, and sign and banner mounts.

Ceramic / 2-5 Pole Assemblies
Ceramic Holding Assemblies resist demagnetization by vibration and electrical fields. They are ideal for use as work holders on welding machines and other equipment with strong demagnetizing fields. Cylindrical Ceramic Holding Assemblies can be installed by a simple press fit with only a slight reduction in holding values.

Pot Magnets / Alnico & Neodymium
Cast Alnico 5 Brass insulated Steel Cup Pot magnets are industry's standard holdfast assemblies. Alnico is exclusive for temperatures to 800° F without affecting magnetism. Temperatures above 1000° F will result in metallurgical changes. Rare Earth Pot Magnets are also available. Please inquire.

Shielded / Insulated
Shielded magnets are primarily used to supply a holding force in limited areas of steel tools, dies and fixtures. The sheath, acting as an insulator, prevents undue loss of magnetic flux at the magnet pole when inserted directly into steel components. This type of assembly is usually efficient when there are no severe limitations upon magnet length. Pull of magnets against a flat steel surface will vary from several ounces to pounds, depending on magnet diameter and length. Greatest pull is achieved if magnet length is at least 4.2 times the diameter; less pull when length of magnet is reduced..
